Hi friends! Welcome to our first blog!
We wanted to start with something fun and creative and easy to do right in your own backyard! These ideas could be used to spruce up your private space or can be used for a fun get together, a birthday party, or even date night. If you’re the person that likes movies, our first idea might just be the right fit for you.
- Have a Movie Night! 🎬
There are multiple ways you could watch your favorite films from the comfort of your own private yard. If you don’t have the exact things, don’t worry, we will help you start! Set up a bed sheet in between trees or on your fence, next have a projector (you can also rent one by the hour just search ‘rent a projector’ to find one near you), also make sure to have a device, most likely a computer or even cell phones, to set up your movie and connect it to the projector and speakers can help too! And finally make sure you have plenty of pillows, blankets, and snacks to enjoy your favorite movie and time together!

2. Lights!!! 💡
Lights are so pretty, wouldn’t you agree?! From fireworks to fireflies, lights can help brighten up a specific place, especially if it’s smaller in size. Your backyard is a perfect place to start! String lights are known for being popular in backyards and in downtown districts, making for a more special and homey feel. Start by stringing those lights in between trees, around tree stems, or from roof to fence or along the fence line. Any way you use lights adds to a magical aesthetic.

3. Add in a Pergola ❇️
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a space covering your porch or somewhere personally added just for the comfort of being outdoors? A pergola could be a nice addition for you. When it’s raining, a covered pergola allows you to still enjoy the outdoors while taking comfort out of the rain. At more luxurious measures, you could add a television, a couch, a mini fridge or even a grill or pizza oven to make your space uniquely yours. This space would be nice to come home to after a long day at school or work, to read a book, or simply enjoy what nature has to offer.

4. Add in a Fire Pit! 🔥
Whenever I think of a fire pit, I instantly think of s’mores. Fire pits are a nice addition to an outdoor space bringing in comfort (and maybe comfort food😉), but also making an excuse for family and friend gatherings. Talking around the fire pit during parties, it’ll feel like a personal and private campground. Or you can make it your own, bring out the guitar and sing some tunes!

5. Planters 🪴
Much of the outdoors are made up of plants. There is something soothing about plants. Whether you use them for food or to just add some greenery, there are all types of different sizes of planters to accommodate your space. In an apartment with lack of space, planters come in all shapes and sizes that help you organize, plan and bring the outdoor feeling closer. With larger spaces, such as a pergola, porch or back yard, add a splash color or differentiate with planters.
